Idlewood comfortably accommodates up to 8 guests and is best suited for families, couples, or small groups looking for a relaxing mountain getaway. The cabin is located just 5 minutes from downtown Blue Ridge, offering easy access to restaurants, shops, and outdoor activities while still providing a peaceful, private setting.
A signed rental agreement and a $300 security deposit hold are required after booking. Please review all house rules prior to confirming your stay.
🏔️ THE VIBE
Idlewood is a comfortable mountain chalet with beautiful long-range views, great outdoor spaces, and an easygoing atmosphere perfect for relaxing with family and friends. Located just minutes from downtown Blue Ridge, it’s a great home base for enjoying the mountains while still being close to restaurants, shops, and hiking. The open layout, large windows, and cozy gathering spaces make it easy to settle in and enjoy your stay.
🍳 MAIN FLOOR
The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need for meals at home, whether you’re cooking breakfast before heading out or gathering for dinner after a day in town. The kitchen and living area open up to mountain views through large windows and vaulted ceilings. Step outside onto the upper deck where you’ll find outdoor seating, a fireplace, dining space for 8, and plenty of room to relax and take in the scenery.
🛏️ BEDROOMS
Upstairs: Two king bedrooms, each with a full bathroom, TV, and mountain views. The primary bathroom includes a soaking tub for unwinding after a day exploring Blue Ridge.
Downstairs: One bedroom with a king bed and twin bunks, making it a great setup for families or groups. Blackout shades throughout the lower level help create a restful sleeping space.
🥂 LOWER LEVEL
The lower level features a wet bar area, additional hangout space, and direct access to the screened porch. Outside, you’ll find a 6-person spa, a second wood-burning fireplace, and an outdoor table perfect for games or evening meals. This level also connects directly to the fire pit area and fenced dog yard. A full bathroom is also located downstairs.
🌳 YARD
Spend evenings around the fire pit under the stars or enjoy the fenced yard with your pup. The outdoor spaces are designed for relaxing, gathering, and enjoying the mountain setting.
🐾 DOG FRIENDLY
Dogs are welcome! The fenced yard gives your pup a safe place to stretch their legs while you enjoy the outdoors.
We accommodate up to 2 dogs per stay. Dogs must be 50 lbs or under, and aggressive breeds are not allowed. A pet fee of $25 per dog, per night applies. Any time dogs are left alone in the cabin, they must be crated for their comfort and the cabin’s protection. All dogs must also be current on vaccinations and flea and tick preventatives prior to arrival. By bringing a pet to Idlewood, you agree to these guidelines — we appreciate your cooperation and can’t wait to host you and your pup!
